Why is feedback important?

Top Four Ways in Which Customer Feedback Helps an Organization

Okay.

Let us first understand what is feedback?

Information about reactions to a product, a person’s performance of a task, etc. which is used as a basis for improvement.

Now let us understand in term of business and let us think like a customer. When we say as a customer means we are already consuming products or services. And a company is happily providing value to the customer.

Now, as a company, you want to compete and wants to be better at value than your competitor. What will you do? You ask for feedback and get an opportunity to engage with your customer.

How about your employees or future employees?

What?!

Yes, Your future employee is your future customer. They are the first-class outsider who thinks that the company is cool, has great products or services and a better future.

And on the other hand, you do not want to hire someone who does not appreciate your products or services.

This is more powerful another way round. If your employees are not buying your products or services, then a company needs to think about restructuring seriously.

Same way, do you dare to treat your future customer poorly and expected to be loyal and converted to a customer? The answer is obvious. Nobody wants to do that.

Okay, so far it is fine. As a customer, I have an objection, and I do not want to give any feedback. Well, it’s fine. Because you (as the customer is always) are right.

But as an employer, is it fine? Uh-mm… NO. I do not think so. It is bad practice and remembers anyone can be your customer. If you are not able to take care of your customer, no matter how big your marketing or branding spending, you will not succeed eventually.

Now ask yourself as a company, what is stopping you to give a feedback? Are you afraid or concern about the consequence? Well it is all speculative and can be constructive.

Positive feedback is a vital sign of better leadership. And you can always google it (it giggles me every-time) to know-how. It is an opportunity to justify your vision and experiences.

And regardless whether you are a customer or an employer, you should give a feedback when it demands. It is an opportunity to make it or break it.
