A better way to self-improvement – utilise your travel time to listen to audiobooks.
This week I have been travelling to Oxford, Northampton and London. I didn’t realise that driving and travelling is a really tiring thing. Well, after three years, everything became normal. And to be honest, I wasn’t prepared. Looking back on the timeline, I have spent almost four hours driving daily. Some days more, some days less. That is an average.
I have been fortunate enough to have a few friends who landed and recommended me a few audiobooks. So far, I would say it is a very productive way to spend your time travelling or driving without distraction. I think that is a better way to self-improvement and utilise my travel time while listening to these audiobooks.
Here is my list of audiobooks, and it is growing. You can see it’s not that much, but it’s a start.
- STOLEN FOCUS – Why you can’t pay attention – and how to think deeply again by JOHANN HARI

Stolen Focus – Why you can’t pay attention and how to think deeply again by Johann Hari -
How To Learn Anything… Fast!
- Scrum – The art of doing twice the work in half the time by Jeff Sutherland.

Conclusion:
Why should you listen to audiobooks? I think there are a few advantages and disadvantages too. Let me tell you while driving, your attention is on the road, and the rest of your senses are working in harmony and autonomous. We usually tend to wonder while driving, and our minds constantly thinking and working on wonders. Now that is astonishing. If you tune your auditory senses and listen to these books, you will not feel any strain on your brain, which may help you to grasp learning quickly.

It is fascinating how technological advancement suffocates our attention and influences our abilities to stay focused and what we can do about it. These are a few books that make you think and help you self-improve. I am currently finishing the stolen focus.
